A Ghost?

With Halloween coming up, you might think this picture might be of a ghost....

Normally you don't see a white one of these...

It is a white squirrel.  They are rare but seen around here occasionally.  This one has been hanging around our house.  I was really happy to be able to get the picture above.  Normally every time I run and get the camera, he takes off or turns his back on me...lol.

I will miss seeing all of the wildlife around here, like this tiny baby bear, and this bear, these bluebirds, the baby turkeys, fawn and deer.

Some of you have asked we our moving date is.  We are closing in a few days and at this point the moving date is scheduled for Nov. 26.  We are looking forward to being in our own home again.

Hoping all of you are safe and sound after the wrath of Sandy.

  4. Oh how cute! I've never seen a white one before:>) We were watching 5 young deer run in circles on the lawn this morning. Round and round they went til we were laughing at their antics. Of course then we had that naughty squirrel munching on the pumpkin. We seem to have plenty of wildlife around here!
Wow, your moving date is awefully close to Thanksgiving! I hope it doesn't keep you from your turkey dinner.

  9. Hi Penny!
What a delicate little creature! Is he a hint at what Winter is going to bring us or just a freindly little ghost? He is beautiful and so fluffy.

I left a comment for you on your other blog...The list of your favorite blogs..but, unfortunately, I don't think it saved. I appreciate your sharing. I was delighted with your beautiful header with all your red highlights. I am so fond of decorating with this vibrant and cheerful color.
I hope you have a fine remainder of the week.
    Blessings,
    Carolynn

I'm so excited for you to start on your next adventure. I know it will be so great to be homeowners again. I found I did not care for being a renter at all!

  21. Wow Penny, A white squirrel is something I have never seen. I wonder if it is an Albino. He doesn't have pink eyes. He sure is pretty.

I hope your packing is coming along. Also, I love the idea of a wall fountain.

    Hugs, Jeanne
