Cozy

Last year in July, I posted about a bed tray that I covered in mosaic china for a good friend of mine.  She provided the tray and transferware china.  You can read about it here.

A little while later, I received a big box in the mail from my friend.

See the afghan at the end of the bed?  She made that for me.  It is the most cozy afghan I have ever had.

When I use it, I can feel my friend giving me a hug.  I love it and the color matches my linen headboard perfectly.

BTW. you can click on the pictures to make them larger and you will be able to see the pretty detail in the afghan stitches.

It is very beautiful, with gorgeous stitched cables and so forth. It must have taken your friend a lot of time to create it. Lucky you!

Labor of love, definitely................but for a dear friend like you it would be worth all those hours with knitting needles or crochet hook! Beautiful yarn - love it on your pretty bed.

What a lovely thoughtful gift! I adore your headboard. I do believe if I were to buy a new one, it would be identical to that one!

Your afghan is beautiful and I'll bet it is soft and cozy. I fiddle with yarn and stick a little bit and am very impressed with the work that went into making the gift for you.

I know you will enjoy it for years to come.

Oh so beautiful Penny!! I could spend all day in that room! Hope your week is going well. Just had somebody stop by with the profile Comforts of Home an thought it was you but it wouldn't let me reply to their comment and when I pulled up their profile it did not take me to you. I thought that was weird.

Lovely, inspiring me to get out my knitting needles or crochet hook. Wondering where she obtained the pattern. Thanks for sharing!
