Bent Willow and Glass

While in Blowing Rock, NC this past weekend, I picked up a couple of great pieces.

I love the rustic look of this bent willow vase.

I love that it can be used as a candle holder or a vase, because the mouth is wide.

I bought one more thing, that I have been wanting a very long time. I will show you that next time.

Have a great 4th of July!  We are going to neighbors for a BBQ and then watch the fireworks.  What are your plans?

  3. I love that vase too! Those are so versatile and I love the texture it has. My husband has to work on the 4th. Not sure what we're doing yet. Life with a fireman is always interesting! Ha!

  4. Love your new vase - the willow and glass are a good combination! Can't wait to see what else you found. We're having a small family gathering for the Fourth. My dear, little mother will join us for our 'indoor picnic' so we are keeping the group small - limited to five adults - so she can be here for awhile. The energy of too many people tires her easily since her heart attack. Some of the young ones may stop by in ones and twos for awhile to see her - us. Have a wonderful Fourth, my friend.

  5. Wow, great vase, Penny. I love the look of it, too.

We will be having a quiet Fourth of July this year. Our son has to work, and our grandson will be with his mother that day. Enjoy your holiday.

  11. Love the vase! I think we are going to grill some blue cheese burgers. Tonight is the base wide celebration, we may attend it or sit on our back porch and watch the fireworks while the little ones play in the pool.

  18. That's a great piece, Penny! I haven't seen one like that; the ones I've seen are usually the tall skinny ones, but I think this size is a bit more versatile. Happy 4th and stay cool!
