Blessed With Friends and Flowers

Yesterday, Mary from A Breathe of Fresh Air, and her husband Bob came to Asheville.  We always look forward to seeing them, though our chances to get together only happen about once a year.

We met at Needful Things Antique Mall where I have my booth (which by the way is almost empty again!  I need to get busy).  Bob, spent some time reading the newspaper in the mall snack bar area, while Mary and I shopped around.  Though truth be told, we really spent more time talking than shopping!

Mary knew I love hydrangeas and our rental home does not have any, so she brought me some cut fresh from her garden.

Today, Mary and I will meet up with Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen and Jane from Blondie's Journal.  Jane is visiting NC from Illinois.

And speaking of Friends and Flowers, when Penny came over the other night for dinner, she brought these beautiful petunias for me.

Well, I am off....lots of things to do before we all meet.  Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Welcome Home,

Those hydrangeas looks beautiful, Penny! I had several bushes of the blue ones. As soon as I get back from NY, I'm getting three pink ones to plant around the condo. It sounds like you're having a fun couple of days with bloggy friends!

Such lovely hydrangeas, love that blue.

I have been watching all of the blogger present the flowers that they have growing right now in their gardens, and I am confused...our hydrangea are just little nubbins.

Yours are in full bloom. If your season is so advanced, what blooms in late summer? Are there plants that we don't have, or do yours rebloom?

One of these days I have to scoot up to your booth and shop.

I better wait till you fill it up with treasures again though..

we had a whoppin storm last night but all my plants came through it fine..

Tell Jane HI for me and give her a hug. I hope one day I can meet her too..

Penny, have you thought of growing a hydrangea in a container on your deck? That way you would be able to move it with you. These blooms are amazing, such beautiful color. Gayle
