The Best Antiquing!

As you know, Mary from A Breathe of Fresh Air and Jane from Blondie's Journal were visiting Asheville these last few days.  Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen and I met up with them for lunch.
Jane, Mary, Penny and me.

After lunch Jane and her husband had other plans, but Mary, Penny and I went shopping at the Screen Door.  Some of my blog friends will remember shopping there with me a few years ago when I held a blogger brunch.  I think it was a favorite stop for a lot of you.  Here is why.....

As soon as you walk in the door, you know you are in for something special.  I love the Ikat pillows on the old metal chippy porch chairs!

The Screen Door has some great industrial chic items.

This French Bread box wanted to come home with both me and The Other Penny.  Alas, I have no room and Penny is saving her pennies for her upcoming trip to France.

Sweet statuary.

Great bistro chair.

Mary on the left and Penny discussing France.

Santos....

I had so much fun with everyone!  It was a great day, though Mary, Penny and I got caught in a huge rainstorm that actually flooded some of the streets.  Penny and I manage to dash into the Screen Door just as it was starting.  Mary arrived a few minutes later and got quite wet.

We definitely did not let some liquid sunshine dampen our day!
Welcome Home,
Penny

The rain has been so hit and miss all week. Looks like rain and then it just passes us by, but we did wake up to wet sidewalks this morning!

Oh how I love that color of blue on those chairs and pillows... Such a happy color!

You both exhibit great willpower not to have grabbed that French bread tin! It's always fun to see friends having a good time together.

I do remember this wonderful store from a prior post, Penny! I'd love to browse there. Hasn't the rain been torrential all week long? We were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day for my daughter's wedding last Saturday!

Hi Penny, Your time with dear blogging friends sounds fabulous. I know you all had a wonderful time shopping etc. I love all of your pics you shared. The lovely antiques and fun times talking about France and Penny's upcoming trip sounds like a great visit. I know Mary can add a lot to the conversation. she is quite the world traveler these past two years.

Thank you for your sweet comment om my PS post. Big smile here!

I have been helping my sister move for the past 6 days. Between company and the move I haven't been visiting much. She is sleeping in her new home tonight. Whew, all the sisters helped and we are beat but happy to help and be together.

Happy days to you and yours. I'm glad the rain didn't dampen your good times.
