Getting There!

I am getting there.  My French settee makeover is almost done.

All I need to do now, is trim the excess fabric and add the trim.  I plan on finishing this tomorrow.  Lord willing and the creek don't rise.  LOL....

I am still working on the porch balustrades too.

What projects are you working on?

So far it's looking really good. Was it harder or easier than you thought? I have two such projects...a chair and a hassock. I am not brave.

What a great settee. I'm looking forward to seeing it being done.

Today we went for a hike in the sunshine (with a cold wind). I'm working on a dress for myself. I think I have finishing phobia.

Can't wait to see the settee completed. Bet it will be terrific.

What am I working on? Well, I am deliberating about painting my kitchen cabinets. I thought I might use two complimentary colours. The countertops are a warm beige silestone, and the floor is large squares of tile in a similar color. I thought I might do the top cabinets in off-white to match the wall-mounted mircrowave and the window and door trim, and the bottom cabinets in a soft beige in the same color as the walls .... I have valences at the windows and lampshades on the chandelier in a blue and beige toile. To keep all it from getting too beige, I try to use lots of dashes of natural colors (red and yellow peppers, oranges, apples, and fresh flowers, etc.) Now if I can only get my act together and start painting, it should be wonderful!!! Or at least fresh and clean .....

You are a busy bee....:)
This is going to be just wonderful.

If I can locate my vintage bed tray I spoke to you about, I will order enuf mosaic pieces from you to do a project on it. I thought it was under a bed in the guest room....nope...not in the closet...nor under MY bed....maybe up in the attic. Oh, dear.....:))

Oh I love this so much! I am working on moving my sewing out of the office since Earl will be working from home and needs a dedicated place to work. Where to put it in this tiny house!?
I also have a few surprises I'm working on and I'm almost ready to come back from my blogging sabbatical. Spring is here and I just went outside for some photos. My primroses from years past that I had tucked into a basket out by the chicken coop are blooming!

Hi Penny
Oh look at you! The settee looks great already. That is a big undertaking. In my case I think I would be wishing on that darn creek to rise. I'll be back to see how it is all complete.

I have just finished painting my diningroom set. I've blogged on it today. I was so nervous about giving this tired set a makeover but I love it. Stop by.

Have a wonderful day
