Weekend Plans

Armand, the Rooster is guarding the rosemary in my potager.

The rosemary, other herbs, garlic and Swiss Chard are the only things growing in my potager this time of the year.  I am looking forward to playing in the dirt in a couple of months.

We have friends coming for the weekend.  We plan on going to the Biltmore Estates.  What are your weekend plans?
Welcome Home,
Penny

Oh, how fun...I love visiting the Biltmore Estates! Hope you'll share some pictures with us! No big plans around here. Hopefully, the weather will continue to be nice so that we can get out and enjoy it!

Love your rooster. How fabulous is he. We are watching the Super Bowl and eating all the wrong things. Hope you have a super weekend. Hugs, Marty

Dudley says you are deprived of vocals and garden additives...from my point of view that isn't necessarily a bad thing...I know your company will have a great time!!

Armand is a GREAT name for your rooster. Love it.

Enjoy your weekend jaunt to the Biltmore Estates. We'll be hanging around home. No Super Bowl though, neither my husband nor I are sports fans. Sometimes we have an Anti-Super Bowl party just so I can make some yummy snacks. Then we watch a movie.

The weather forecast is good, so I think that there will be a walk along the water and tea in a cosy shop. Have fun with your friends!

Going to the Biltmore again? I just recently went on Jen's coattails...Our Southern Table. Have a lot of fun!

No Super Bowl plans?

Oh and you don't want to know how jealous I am of your beautiful rosemary growing like that. I don't know if I'm jealous or just depressed. Glad that you have it though!

That sounds like fun. My husband and I are getting ready to work in the yard this afternoon. Pruning bushes and putting out fresh pinestraw has been long over due. We're expecting rain this weekend, so we'll probably do a bunch of NOTHING then. Ha! Love your potager. With the price of groceries going up, we may need to start growing some of our own food too!

Your rosemary looks wonderful! My little plant died, it needed to be watered every day and I think I killed it! I did plant some at the lake and I hope it comes back...hopefully it will with the mild winter we are having!

Have a fun weekend! Maybe we will go to the lake. We have been playing it by ear every weekend.

We so enjoyed the Biltmore...have a great time!

XO,
Jane

Oh, I love Biltmore. What a lovely time you'll have, I'm sure. I'm going to be spending Saturday getting my tax stuff together and Sunday at a family get-together/Super Bowl party.

I plan on spending some time with one of little great-grandsons. Haven't seen him in about 3 weeks. Then church on Sunday. Good weekend. Enjoy your trip to the Biltmore.

Relaxing weekend here. Think I will get the season pass to Biltmore this year. Looking forward to coming back at the end of March.

Look at your gorgeous rosemary! I loved the photos of your violas and primrose, too. We have had a week of gorgeous weather, and I've been lucky enough to get in the garden also. Have fun at the Biltmore this weekend, and drink some wine for me :)

Hi Penny, Just wondering if the Rosemary would have made it through a hard winter? I'm in upstate KY and wondering if it would make it through our winters. We've had a mild one this year as well.

As for me, guess part of the weekend is with the TV & the Super Bowl, the rest will be lived as it happens. enJOYing your site.

Work Saturday :>{ and Sunday some relaxation and a superbowl party! We actually hate football, but we love spending time with friends:>)

Have fun at Biltmore and taste some of their good wines for moi! It's always beautiful visiting there and with this weather should be really nice to show your friends.

We cut the grass today as with the mild weather and a recent application of fertilizer, it was long and thick! This means I can wake up tomorrow and look out knowing things are good around the garden. Perhaps I'll head to SuzAnna's and other thrifty shopping places before the rain comes in tomorrow evening. Yesterday I did some pruning - the butterfly bush, roses etc. All so early and still we could get wider weather.

Have a fun weekend Penny dear. I'm loving my present!
Hugs - Mary

I have heard so much about the Biltmore Estates, but have never been there. Tomorrow - Saturday - I am going shopping at an antique mall and out to lunch with my mom and two of my favorite aunts. Can't wait! Sunday, my hubby has the day off work and I am looking forward to a relaxing day with him and watching the Superbowl while enjoying some good snacks. :-)

Have a great time at Biltmore. I haven't been since 1993 and would love to go back. We're working on our bathroom renovation this weekend.

My herbs are growing inside the sunroom this year, rather than out in the garden. The weekend looks rather dull, like the weather, but I'm happy to stay inside and get crafty.

Sounds like a wonderful place....enjoy your time there! Nothing exciting happening on the prairies this week end, just cleaning up the BnB to get it ready for guests coming on Monday. Have a good one!

Sounds fun! Hope you have a great time. A while back you had some black trays in your Etsy shop. Do you still have them? If you do I'd be interested in them. Mimi

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your friends.

Yesterday we did all those "running around" things I can't get done during the work week.

Today our boys will be coming over, and we will watch the Super Bowl. I have a pot of chili in the crockpot, and it is smelling delish.

It will be a few months longer before I have any of those herbs growing here! Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Penny, just playing another game of catch up from my One Cat Shy of Crazy blog, and find your great Rooster still has center stage! Just as it should be...so still loving him...still planning a trip to Asheville this summer, and hoping we can meet for lunch!

I so want a concrete rooster! Love yours!

I don't think you'll have to wait - I think spring is right around the corner unless something strange happens (which is possible).

Hope you had a nice weekend. Love that big rooster guy. I'm itching to get outside, too. It'll be here before we know it!
