I have a couple of questions.....
First.
Where is winter?
These geese seem to think they are at Miami Beach..though I took this picture last week in NC.
Do you have winter in your area?
Second.
Can you leave a comment on my post? I have had a few people email me and say they couldn't leave a comment. If you can't could you email me and let me know? My email is in my profile.

I've had no problems leaving you coments, Panny. No winter here in Georgia, either! I think it's going to skip right over us.
Penney, I'm in the nc valley. we've had a few cold nights - nothing winterish though.. I just heard on the news that we Might get a few snow flurries. all my birds are still here. There were 11 cardinals out at the feeders today, though it was pouring rain..
so far as I know I've been able to comment on each of your posts..sorry others are having problems.
I live in the Midwest...Kansas. We haven't had winter yet, either. It's been extremely mild. We've usually had snow and/or ice by now.
No problem leaving comments here either. I am in Michigan and it is like Spring here the past few days or more. BUT, they say 8 in. or more snow to arrive tomorrow starting around 4 p.m. thru Friday sometime. I guess we are do!
Not having a problem leaving a comment...And second of all I haven't a clue where winter is...I was in the garden cleaning yesterday afternoon like it was spring. Our weather is totally off...My garden this spring to summer didn't produce my tomatoes very well ... I have a bunch and they hardly turned red...it took for every.. and I noticed I still have certain flowers growing and I'm like what...pretty picture...Have a great day...with love Janice
Hi Penny. Leaving a comment, as requested. Hope it works. My knockout roses had a bloom. So odd. But we've had blizzards here the last two years, so I don't mind much. A snow day might be nice, though. Good excuse to make pancakes and do nothing. Thanks for your kind comments on my post today!
Looks like your comments are going through!
Our weather is much like yours, sunny but in the 50's, which is WARM for us! I love to open the windows for a bit each day and air out the rooms. But...I hear we are in for some snow in the next few days, we shall see!
XO,
Jane
Well, we had rain today but yesterday it was about 51 and sunny. Went out with the granddaughter and daughter for a nice walk. Tomorrow afternoon they say snow, so who knows!
I wonder where winter is, too. It has been so warm and we woke to thunder storms this morning. It will be cold and windy Friday and Saturday and then it will get warm again. Up and down. Our weeds are growing rampantly in the yard when winter should be killing them. My petunias from summer are still blooming on my deck!
i don't know where winter is, and i hope it will stay that way. who ever heard of my sons playing frisbee golf in the sunshine in january?
thanks so much for stopping!
michele
Winter is supposedly coming here tomorrow, in Ohio. We have been very lucky so far this year. Hope our luck hasn't run out just yet!~Hugs, Patti
It has been wonderful here, although the warmth is supposed to be over starting tomorrow and the west side of our state is under a winter storm warning tomorrow. I have a feeling we have plenty of winter ahead:>{
I don't think I've had any trouble leaving comments! I don't always check to see if they are there after I hit publish. I just blindly trust they go through.
Oh, we are warm down here too. 60 degrees yesterday and today. It will probably hit with a vengeance.
We're having a mild winter here too - loving it!
I am happy to hear that there hasn't been much winter in NC... Our heating bill was outrageous last winter. Our AC has run all winter here in Florida until today. We had rain and it is supposed to be cool for the next few days.
Hope you can get this message.

Penny, I haven't had a problem leaving comments on your blog.
Those geese will have a rude awakening when Winter does come back!!
Oh Miss Penny, what is winter! In our neck of the woods, Texas...southern, not really happening!
Winter? Not here, Penny.
The wind is howling and it is getting COLD! Yes, I can comment and yes it is cold!
Brenda
Snow is on its way and the weather has been seasonably cold for about a week. Yes, I can comment without difficulty.
Kentucky hasn't had much winter yet either, unlike last year. We may have some winter this weekend which means you'll get it next? Really have enJOYed your site over the past year. Your site was one of a handful to inspire me to start http://joysjotsshots.blogspot.com/ Thank-you, JOY
No Winter here Penny. I'm in Jacksonville,FL. Although it's a bit windy tonight and there is a chill in the air.
I agree 100%! Where is winter? Although they are saying that we might get snow tomorrow!
blessings,
karianne
Hi Penny,
We are having a very mild winter...but then again I'm in south Florida! (-:
I have been asking myself the same question about winter, Penny. This morning we woke up to snow. Not a lot but snow anyway. We always enjoy watching Eagles, this time of year. Seeing very few. My friend in Appleton Wisconsin Eagle watched yesterday. Those Eagles should be down here by now!!!
Heard NC had some bad weather overnight. Hope all is well with you.
I posted about the weather as well. There are Iris blooming. The seasons seem to be mixed up.
Darla (who can comment)
I was driving with the windows down in Green Country Oklahoma yesterday with a high of 61 but very windy. Then dropped to 26 & started to snow. This morning it is 19 & the prediction for next week is 50/60's. So our part of the country has not experienced a normal winter. However, we had a crazy year of weather with a blizzards, tornados, wild fires, drought and earthquakes. So to me we are getting a break & loving it.
I had no problem posting.
It's supposed to be 57 here today, which isn't winter in my book. But I'm not complaining! No problem commenting.
It's been in the 50's and 60's all winter until today. It's in the teens and we got our first light snow.
Hugs,
Cathie
I've never experienced problems leaving your comments.
Your guess is as good as mine concerning the location. We have been wondering the same thing.
We haven't had a normal winter here in California, either. It's cold but no rain. Dangerously below normal levels. That means no snow in the mountains so the ski industry is suffering plus we get our irrigation water from the snow melt. Bad news all around.
It is finally getting cold around here after we recently experienced warmer than usual temperatures. This has been a strange winter so far. The other night, we had thunderstorms. We usually only get those in Spring and Summer!
We've had quite a bit of snow in Denver - TV says more than all of last winter combined. Nice thing about it tho, the snow usually melts off before the next storm - except in my north facing backyard :(
Winter has not arrived in western NY either. It may show up tomorrow, but I dont know.
Hi Penny -- Winter has arrived in the Pacific Northwest. Down into the 20's the last few nights and everything covered in frost in the mornings. May even snow this weekend, they tell us. Hope they're wrong -- the Seattle area is very hilly, and people here do not do well driving on the snow and ice.
Still the sunshine this morning is great, even if it is a bit chilly.
Hugs, Carol
Penny, it's so nice outside today that I had lunch on the patio! Lovin' this weather!
Hugs,
Donna
I live up in New England. No winter up here either, but I'm not complaining!
As of today, Winter is (finally) here in Maine!
Winter is trying to make an appearance here in Ohio. Like Kathy (#8) and Patti (#11) said - we expected snow yesterday. But all we got was a dusting, despite the major warnings from the weathermen! But is is COLD and windy!!! brrr.....
I'm still looking forward to spring! LOL
hugs, Sue
We have winter temperatures this week, but NO SNOW.. not one single flake. Weird this year and almost disconserting.
Perfect seasonal post! It would be great to have you join me at Seasonal Sundays.

Hi Penny,
We live in N.C., too, and we've been asking the same question. We have Canadian Geese in our neighborhood, due to a lake, and they never, ever go home. I've re-named them Carolina Geese.
I've been having trouble with Blogger comments all week, but seem to be doing okay with leaving this comment for you.
Happy Seasonal Sunday.

Oh dear, I've been wondering the same thing! I stopped in to check out your blog (very lovely!) and saw your posting. My little sister lives in Raeford NC. She said the weather has been unusual for her as well. I would be happy to have a nice snowstorm but we've got 60 degree weather forecasted for the next few days. So unfair!!!!
Have a great weekend!
