Silver

After I left my booth at Needful Things yesterday, I hit a couple of thrift stores looking for some goodies to fix up and put in the booth.

Well I didn't find anything for the booth, but I did find this pretty, petite silver box at Habitat ReStore for only $3.00.

I am going to keep an eye out for for a few more in different sizes and shapes to create a grouping.

Tonight, I am making homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.  A good Friday night supper, don't you think?

This weekend, we are going to some friends house for dinner and I will spend time in my studio.

What are your weekend plans?
Welcome Home,
Penny

Happy Friday Penny, Love the box and the books under it-you have such a wonderful eye. Your weekend sounds fun; my entire family(all 15 of us)are going to the mountains for sledding and snowshoeing. We'll have good food and lots of games; it doesn't get better than this!
Have a great one.

Sweet box!

We had grilled cheese sandwiches today made BJ's way (Sweet Nothings). Oh my! They were so delicious I don't think that I'll ever be able to make one the old-fashioned way again. ☺

That's a pretty box - great find!
This weekend we'll stay close to home as there's surgery for TGD on Monday. I've got a pot of soup started and I move from my work computer to this one, as I'm staying home today.

I just mixed up and cooked some turkey burgers, something healthy for me.... Hubby will have to fend for himself with some leftovers from the fridge. :-)

Grilled cheese and tomato - mmmm, one of my favorite "comfort foods". Tomorrow, going to a Mardi Gras party at Tressa's in Asheville. Not sure why it's so early. Sunday? Hope to have an artful day. See you next week.

We're on a roll here - Bob gets in from LA late to I'm planning soup, tomato lentil made today, and cheese panini's with a dab of roasted red pepper tapenade (it's on clearance for some reason at Harris Teeter so I picked up several jars, so yummy!).

Such a sweet box, hope you find more.

Penny I see you have Brooke G's book - is it good? I've been tempted to order!

Have a fun weekend.

Cleaning, falling asleep on the sofa and hopefully a little sewing and blog reading. I'm still looking for that perfect weekend of nothing on the agenda except what I feel like doing, but I'm booked solid this weekend. Maybe next week.....

Oh, and by the way, that little silver box is gorgeous. I have never seen one like that so I hope you have good success building a grouping!

Hi Penny,
That supper menu sounds like my favorite comfort food. I love the box, and I am sure you will have fun in your studio this weekend. We had a dusting of snow and we should get some more tomorrow. All in all, it's been a very mild winter. It's kind of nice for a change.

Well, hope you have a beautiful weekend.

Beautiful! That's the silver box, and the house tours.

I had to laugh, if it was me filming going down the stairs, it would have been a lot quicker, as I have a tendency to fall down them....LOL.

Did you say "homemade" tomato soup? Wow, I'm impressed. I don't think I would even know how to do that.

Pretty find! Your Friday night supper sounds delicious.

It's a dreary rainy day here and I plan to enjoy a quiet day in the house.

Pretty find, Penny! Not sure yet what I'm doing besides laundry this weekend. : ) But I'd like to fit in some kind of project, even if it's a little one.

There is a cheese factory near us that specializes in gouda cheese. They make the best grilled cheese sandwiches. I noticed they have a sign outside that says they have hot tomato soup now. I think I'll run over there this week while it's raining and have lunch.

Tomato soup and a cheese toast sounds perfect for today. We've had gray weather for 2 weeks and yesterday was nothing but severe storms. We need some comfort food!
