Cabin Fever

I have cabin fever....

I am stuck in a rut....

I need a change of scenery, but can't go anywhere at this time...

So let's take a virtual vacation, shall we?

How about a trip to the beach?  This one is in Naples, Florida.  I took these photos a few years ago.

Can you hear the sounds of the waves gently cascading onto the shore?

Can you feel the sand between your toes?

Can you smell the salt air?

Sigh.  Isn't that better?
Welcome Home,
Penny

  3. Yoo hoo, Mr. Comforts of Home, it's time to get this gal outta Dodge. I suggest Paris or Rome or the Bahamas. =)

    That was nice, Penny!

  5. A warm sandy beach sounds great about now. Actually it is around 60F here so I shouldn't complain.

  6. Oh, Penny! I have been feeling the same way, too. Sometimes even a trip to the store perks me up. We have sun today {finally} and I really needed that.

Your pictures are beautiful and just what the doctor ordered!!

  11. Well, I've got the stuck-in-a-rut fever. Tired of being cold. Tired of looking at dead winter outside. Need some spring color. Pronto.

  17. Oh so much better! I saw a post where a Southern California gal was dreaming of snow while enjoying 80 degree weather. Think she might house swap for a few months?

  19. Great photos Penny. We've actually had good weather and I've even been able to be outside gardening a bit.

Normally I try to learn something new each winter. Keeps my mind engaged and out of the doldrums!

  20. Hi Penny! I loved going on the little trip with you. Did you know we live about two blocks from the beach? I don't go down there very often. My husband is a runner and he always runs the seawall and I do ride my bike there. There is just something about hearing those waves that relaxes you! ;)
Thanks for popping in and have a lovely weekend.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia :)

  24. All your beach photos are beautiful, but the photo of the heron(?) on the shoreline is just fabulous Penny - that one should be framed for certain. I think it's his amazing yellow foot, and that the water looks like ice, really love it and can definitely smell the ocean!

Well I can't say I have cabin fever, in fact I'm loving having this time at home - as you know, I needed a break from packing and airports!

    Love Mary

  25. Oh yes Penny, this is a lovely trip to the beach. Calming and beautiful photos of that remind me of when we grew up in the warm, Florida sunshine.
However, i still love the mountains and I am happy to be here. Not in all this rain though.Smile.

I read when it is raining and like you, enjoy my favorite magazines etc.

    You master bath is beautiful.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  29. Did you go to Florida recently? That blue water sure looks inviting and such a much better color than the brown of winter all around us here. Thanks for sharing!
