I started working on the armoire yesterday. I emptied it, and removed the red toile backing. I added the appliques.
I started painting it this morning. I should have the first coat of Louis Blue ASCP on by the end of the day.
I am going to be adding layers of old white, gold highlights and clear and dark wax before it is over.

I just wanted to re-think my comment that I made earlier. I bet the piece will be so pretty when it is painted that light French Blue color. It will be such a transformation. I did like the Toile though.But will wait and see what you do. Good luck. Richard from My Old historic House.
