Bluebirds

The other day, I added some large rocks to my watering fountain, so the birds could get a drink.  They decided it was a better place to get a bath, than a drink....

Have a great last weekend of Summer!
Welcome Home,
Penny

Your bird bath is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. You may notice that my blog profile is of my birdbath. I love birdbaths and birdhouses!! We have blue birds that use a birdhouse right outside my kitchen window. I just LOVE watching them. They're so pretty. My mom said that some people have trouble attracting blue birds because they don't have wide open spaces. Apparently they like that. We must get them from a field behind our house. I noticed that your backyard is open as well.

Just found you through Jenn's post of your visit. Oh how I LOVE Asheville!!! Hubby & I visit there as often as possible. In fact maybe Christmas again. We did The Grove Park Inn 2 years ago... MAGIC!!!! I am so sad I won't be able to attend Jenn's event & meet you at Vendor night but, it's our anniversary & I just couldn't leave him to go play... Bummer but, I hope to meet you some day if we visit... LOVE your beautiful picnic basket she shared with us. Have a beautiful fall... Charlene

bluebirds used to be in abundance around new england, but their population has dropped off...I remember seeing them when I was little, but no longer, so this was a treat! I also learned recently that my new old birdbath is too deep so the birds weren't using it...someone told me to add rocks to it. I guess you already knew that !
