See my porch furniture? I have had this for about 5 year now.
It looks good from a distance, but the truth is that it has spent many season out in the weather. Look closer below.
All of the seats have mold stains. I have tried scrubbing, bleaching, laying in the sun etc and they don't come out. I would replace the cushions, but they are an odd size. I have never seen replacement cushions that would fit.
So what I am going to attempt is to paint a pattern on them with fabric paint. I am think stripes....
I have fabric paint. Wish me luck!
Welcome Home,
Penny

Congrats to Jackie (?) on her win.
Congrats to Jackie! I went out and bought myself a dress today, inspired by looking at Shabby Apple. I don't think they ship up here, so I just made do - and had fun choosing!

Hi Penny -- WOW! I'm thrilled to win the dress!!! I checked out the Shabby Apple site - they have the cutest, most unique things. I love the dress you are giving away and can't wait to receive it! Good luck! I know whatever you do usually turns out just fine. The problem with my patio cushions is they are falling apart from the sun. I can't find new ones the right size to replace mine either and replacement cushions are expensive. I was thinking of attempting to make slip covers for them. It's an attached back/seat cushion. Any advise on how I should make them?
Congrats to the winner...I know your cushions will turn out wonderfully.
Good for you. I am anxious to see this!
Can't wait to see the finished cushions. They will be wonderful. You are very brave... I guess I am a scaredy cat when it comes to taking paint brush in hand.
Oh my goodness Penny, is there anything you can't do?? You are so amazing! I love the idea of painting those cushions. You can do so much with them. I can't wait to see the reveal!
