Sewing Up A Storm

I am sewing up a storm....well sort of :-).

I really am not a seamstress.  So it will probably take all weekend to get this pair of drapes sewn.

I did order my decorative traverse rod.  It is from JC Penney and should arrive in 7-10 business days.

You know I was inspired by Sarah Richardson's farmhouse bath.  For all of you Sarah fans out there, her new show starts this Saturday on HGTV at 8PM.  It is called Sarah's Summer House.  Here is a picture of one of the rooms in the Summer House below.

Looks like it is going to be a wonderful house!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

Welcome Home,
Penny

That rod is gorgeous. It would take me even longer than you to sew. I want to, but I am so impatient. I am looking forward to Sarah's new show.

The rod, the fabric - it's all going to be beautiful! Thanks for the heads about Sarah's Summer House. Is it different than Sarah's Cottage which aired a year or two ago? I'll have to check.

Your curtains look beautiful so far. I can't sew so I really admire anyone that takes on a project. The fabric is really pretty!

My daughter loves Sarah, but I have yet to watch it. I'll look out for it.

8 more days and we will be meeting up!!!

I am going tolove those drapes, and even though I sew it would take me all weekend too. There really is a lot of sewing with all that length and width to hem. I know they will be just beautiful though:>)

Good morning Penny, I adore Sarah Richardson's show. I can't wait to watch her new project. Her decorating inspires me too. Your drapery fabric for your bathroom is stunning. I LOVE the yellow accents for your beautiful bath. I have a similar bath and I am now inspired too. I haven't decorated that bathroom because I couldn't make up my mind what to do. (I saw your previous post and love it all) I know you will do a wonderful job on the drapes. Good luck with your project. I feel your excitement. Smile.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day my dear friend.
Love, Jeanne

Take it slow and steady and you'll have those drapes together and done with much more love and care than if you had purchased them. That summer home of Sarah's is amazing.
