I have been working on my counter stool project. Remember when I showed you this picture...
We were in the process of cutting down the bar stools to counter height to match our new counter height granite counter top. (Kitchen changes coming to a post soon.)
I also needed to reupholster the stools to coordinate with the kitchen dining chairs.
So I carefully took apart the existing fabric and made a pattern.
You can see the stool cover above leaning on top of my kitchen chair cushions. I used the same checked fabric for the stool covers that is on the edges of the chair cushion. (and no, I have NOT painting my kitchen chairs and table yet, but this is going to happen this week, I hope)
But I am painting the counter stools. I started today.
First coat is finished.
Now tell me, you paint on top of your dining table too don't you?

I am afraid my husband would put the kabosh on painting on my dining room table but you certainly look like you are nice and neat.... of which I am not. Your stools are going to look fabulous when you get done. ~Hugs, Patti

Husband doesn't even like me using a mouse without a mat on the dining room table. If he caught me painting on it he would be rather cross.
Love the red cabinet in your photo. I've been contemplating that color for an old, small, china cabinet that was my grandmother's. The thing is, I really need one bigger than grandma's so I keep putting it off. Saw a nice red one in the new Pottery Barn catalogue, but you know how pricey those folks are.

Ha ha Penny! Yes I do, and I did today! I painted a ceiling medallion...and I barely cover the area I am painting on...so you are very careful in my book! Lookin' good.
All this time I have been waiting for the weather to get warmer so I can paint in my garage. Now I see how the pro's do it!! They look wonderful so far, Penny!

Love the fabric Penny. Yes, I do paint on that big old farmhouse table. Perfect hgt and length. It's been used for painting everything including the doors to the kitchen island.
Of course I do! I reupholster and paint an do everything on my table, it gives it that "distressed" vintage look I love so much:>) The stools are going to look great!

My husband hates when I paint in the garage, Penny! I think he'd turn purple if I ever did it on the dining room table! Love the fabric and I'm looking forward to see the finished project.
funny...I have sanded, and painted, and made a screen door, and even clamped and glued boards (for a counter top) on my dining room table....we never eat at it because of the projects!
