The bar counter stools are finished! Here is the before, remember I had to cut them down from bar height to counter height when we removed the 2nd tier from our kitchen counters.
BEFORE
Here are the after pictures. I painted them with Maison Blanche from Sherwin Williams. Then sanded the edges slightly and wiped on glaze to antique them a little.
I have started painting the chairs for the kitchen table....
This project will be put on hold for the Memorial Day Weekend, we have company coming.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
Welcome Home,
Penny

Looks great, Penny! I love the 'new' stools.
I have to say, I'd like to bottle some of your energy and dip into it once or twice a season!
Hooray! Wonderful!
Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day Weekend!
Gentle hugs,
~♥~
They do look wonderful. Glad that you showed a closer view as I couldn't tell what the fabric was in the first and wondered if you'd gone with something new. Do people sit at the counter or did they sit at the bar before? I've often wondered about such things. (My sister had a bar top and we sat at that whenever she was cooking. I did anyway. Great way to stay out of the way while someone else is doing all the work.)
Enjoy your company and have a delightful holiday weekend.
They look really great and I love how your kitchen came out. Have a great holiday.
Beautiful job!!! Love the red checked fabric!!! Your kitchen is beautiful!!!

The stools are perfect, Penny. Oh, it is a pain in the you know what to paint chairs. I want to paint some, but keep putting it off. Enjoy your company and weekend.

Wow, such a difference a little white paint makes! They look so much brighter, love the lightened up seat covers too. Have fun with your guests! If it ever stops raining here I plan to do a litle cooking out and a lot of sewing:>)

Penny, they look fantastic! I would love to cook in your kitchen, using wonderful home grown vegies from your garden!
Catching up Penny dear - see you've been very busy around your lovely home while I've been gallivanting!! Love the new kitchen look - and all your painting projects are coming along so nicely.
Lucky you meeting Jane - she said she had a great time in NC.

Great job, Penny. They really look nice, and the overall change is dramatic.
Love x's 1,000! Everything looks abosolutely to-die-for! Two thumbs up from me!
Love your stool redo! I like counter top height so much better than bar height. I love all your touches of red. I spotted a red cabinet in your dining room that looks adorable.
Looking really good Penny. BTW, I think I found a work around to my comment problem.

darn...company means you have to clear away the dining table project!!!
Oh Penny, I so envy that you and your husband can team up and create such magic. As I have mentioned so many times before, I am hopeless at painting furniture...too many drips. I love what you did with your stools. Your home is a page out of a magazine.

Great job Penny, they look fabulous!! Martina
I love the way your stools turned out. They are just right for your 'new' kitchen. Wish I could sit there and visit with you over a cup of tea! Now wouldn't that be fun?
