Shopping and Dining

So, I have been complaining about the rain and not being able to finishing painting my dining table and chairs.  Today was sunny and warm.

But, I was bad and played hooky with my friend the "other" Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen.

We went shopping and out to lunch.  I will show you what I bought another time.  We found the cutest place to have lunch.

It is a little bookstore as well as a restaurant.

Cozy rooms filled with books and tables.
I had the soup and sandwich special.  All of the meals come served on a bread board.
Penny had their "Mile High Quiche" and fresh fruit.

We had a wonderful time catching up after a long winter.  Tomorrow, I will get back to working on projects.....maybe.
Welcome Home,
Penny

Hi Penny, I think it was a great idea to fit in some fun with a sweet blogger the 'other' Penny. Your lunch looks delicious. I am sure both of the Penny's had a grand time together. Smile.

The table will wait.

That reminds me of a little bookstore/cafe I visited on a bicycle ride through England.

Well, you're excused from coming to my party since your kitchen is all torn up! :)
Thanks for popping in though.

That looks like a wonderful place for lunch and the soup and salad look fabulous. How fun that it's served on a bread board..sort of like a ploughman's lunch. Yum.

I always think a short break with a friend makes the work go better when you get back to it. I like the idea of serving lunch on a breadboard.

Hi Penny! That lunch looked sooo cute..and what an adorable way to serve lunch. :)

The flower bed..I keep looking for a small one..and some day I will run into one of those tiny Jenny Lind beds in red..or whatever and grab it. It will go out there in my yard under the tree..and will have a real flower bed. :)

I cannot tell you how much I wish I had a place for that little red table and chairs..but I don't. I look and long and then today I saw the price down so low...and actually moaned out loud! LOL
Ah well...we cannot have everything! I am proud to own the things I do that you have made.
Hugs,
Mona
