Paisley

I am just barely starting to spruce up my front porch for spring and summer.  I know we will be having a month of pollen, covering everything, so I will wait until that is over for the real sprucing up.

I just bought some new cushions for the white wicker chairs.

The old red ones in the pictures below have spent the past 3-4 years in the sun, rain and snow.  They are faded and worn.

Here are the new ones.  I love this big paisley pattern.  It is kind of a modern take on French Provence style. (edited to add:  the cushions are from Pottery Barn...free shipping and a sale going on now.)

I am juggling a lot of plates right now. Literally - I am working on a big mosaic project that has to be done a week from today.  I will tell you more about that later this week.

So what are your weekend plans?  Is it spring in your neck of the woods?
Welcome Home,
Penny

  7. We love the paisley... it will certainly make you want to sit out there.

No sign of pollen around here yet... we're still waiting for the mounds and mounds of snow to finish melting. But the sun is doing her work, so soon... soon...

    Best to you, Penny!

  25. Love paisley designs - these are gorgeous! I had Vanessa recover mine in gold/brown circus pattern toile a couple of years ago. They are fading a bit now because the sun hits the porch since we took the trees down.........guess I'll just enjoy them as 'shabby chic' for a while longer!

Glad you like my Marais chairs - 'he' got home so late last night from Dallas - Delta's flights always seen to have problems for him lately - and at first groaned when he saw the chairs, but this morning he seems to be liking them!
HAPPY WEEKEND DEAR! Looking forward to seeing the mosaic you are working on.

  27. The new cushions are great. I've been noticing lots of paisley this year - even in clothes. It is sunny but cold (for us) here this weekend so I think I'll stay in and look out the window.

Love the new cushions. Isn't it fun to spruce things up? We have HOT weather here in TX, it feels like spring has passed us by and summer is here. I'm sure it will change though!
Good luck with all of your projects.

I haven't spruced up my front porch much, either. We have to wait until all the sand storms are over.
