Getting Ready

We have some good friends visiting this weekend.  I usually buy a bouquet of flowers for the guest room.  Today I bought a pot of daffodils instead.

I have had this old copper pot for years.  I love the way it looks with the daffodils.

I couldn't resist buying some flowers for my bedroom too.  For me, roses.

I also added some flowers to my new header - for all of you~after all you are my guests too!!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.
Welcome Home,
Penny

  1. Penny, the daffodils are beautiful. Isn't it amazing? Spring is starting to show up slowly. And I am so envious :) of your julep cup. Makes your roses pop. I love buying flowers for my bedroom too. Enjoy your friends' visit!

  7. Lovely! Both the new Header, and inside your house.

Please be so happy, that you can bring flowers into your home. We can not. Because they cause allergy flare-ups. -sigh-

Even in summer, we can't bring the beautiful Old Roses or other flowers, which my husband grows, into the house. Same reason. -sigh-

I like to point out to people, how lucky they ARE, to be able to do this brightening thing... About which they probably don't think much. Other than for the joy it brings. Not-everyone-can! -pouttttttt- :-)

    Gentle hugs...

  18. I love your new Spring header Penny. Your guests are lucky to have such a pretty sight in their bedroom. Love the roses in the Julep cup. I have three of them and like to line them up on the table with roses just like you have done. Congrats on the weight loss. We are doing the same and I am down 7 pounds. My goal is 15 pounds. Guess when I come back and we go out to lunch we will have to order salad. But frankly I am enjoying eating better.

  25. March is my birthday month, so daffodils have always been my favorites!!! My first daffodil opened yesterday. I can't wait to be able to pick bouquets to use in the house. Yours look so sweet in that copper pot. Glad your diet is going well. And I hope you have had a great weekend with your friends. Fresh flowers are such a lift, especially this time of year as we all anxiously await the arrival of spring! Love & blessings from NC!
