Picture Yourself Here

Snow getting you down?  Got the winter Blues?  Well, sit back and picture yourself here.  These are pictures I took in Naples, Florida this past November.  I figured we all needed a little pick me up right about now.  Click on the pictures to enlarge, then click one more time and they will get even larger.

See the shadows in front of the man in the picture below?  Those are a school of sting rays.

Are you feeling a little warmer now?
Welcome Home,
Penny

I imagine the warm sand under my feet - the warm water lapping at my ankles and the sun, hot on my head. Bliss!

Being in central Florida we rarely drive to the Gulf or Ocean so we just chill at the pool if it's warm enough. These photos were lovely and makes me want to take a drive.

Yes, these did the trick for me. And, it was quite welcome. It is a very dreary day here.

Hi Penny, I am relaxing and playing on my computer. I had a two week dry spell. My cousin is on his way to visit another cousin. I scrolled down and loved the little birds. I especially loved your photo without the sling. Progress. I have many memories of the Florida sun, beach and weather. it is awesome but I still love the mountains more. I do think I feel a bit of heat from the lovely photos you shared. Smile.

Beautiful Penny.
Take care of that 'slingless' arm.
Love, Jeanne

We are having freezing rain here, right now and snow, maybe a foot, coming tomorrow!

Ahhhhhh. Just what I needed Penny:>) There is a huge storm heading our way, hopefully I'll get several snow days out of it. I think I'll close the curtains and just dream of spring....then I'll sew:>) I hope your weather stays beautiful!

Gorgeous photos, Penny. I can feel the sand between my toes just thinking about a walk on the beach. ~ Sarah

I don't know if that made me feel better or made me feel worse! lol...just kidding. I just hung up from my sister who lives in Sarasota, Fl and she told me it is 64 right now....sounds good to me with another impending storm on our doorsteps. I think I could hear the waves lapping on the shore in your photos...sigh...

I just found your blog and have enjoyed perusing several months of your posts. I discovered that you had rotator cuff surgery, which I also had in 2010 - what a bummer that has been with the hair thing and whole bunch of other stuff. It has now been a year since my surgery, and I'm not totally satisfied. Hope yours is going well - hang in there, it is hard. BTW, love your style in your home. Sally

Well, Penny...considering Chicago is under a blizzard warning, these pictures were just what I needed! Naples is a beautiful city; or at least it was 22 years ago when I was there. :-)

Thanks... I needed to see some sunny skies. We had a grey day and a high of 39. Someplace warm would suit me just fine and dandy.

I love the water on that coast, Penny! It is gorgeous. Thanks for the pick me up. I needed one today because we were a little grey over here on the Atlantic.

The people with the rays in the water were being very brave. Lovely photos of the Gulf Penny. Don't you just love those little shore birds.

Naples is one of the most beautiful cities in Florida.

Looking at your photos is much nicer than dealing with the freezing rain at my house right now. Thanks for the pick-me-up, Penny!

It may have done the trick! Thank you. The blues are wonderful, but it's the gorgeous orange sun and sky that makes me feel warmer.

I wish I could hop on a plane and go...

Thank you for the warming pictures, I sure can use them after the 30 plus inches of snow we have had in the last few weeks...

Hi Penny, I was gone all day with a dental appt. and bowling. Then dinner and a long well needed nap. smile. Now, I am visiting late per usual. Thanks for your sweet comment today. I'm glad you like the dish I made for you. I love finding just the right treasures to make those plates. The Christmas one was given to our new granddaughter in-law. She loved it too. I was given one two years ago and that is how I got started making them. I took the idea and ran with it!

I still have to do my post so I better get busy.
Keep on with your therapy. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Smile!
Love ya, Jeanne
