Last year when we bought this house, I showed you the barren back yard, and told you my dreams of having a pergola and fireplace. I showed you this inspiration picture.
After spending a year here and working on the inside, we finally were able to start working on the outside. You saw some of the work in this post.
We decided at this point to have a fire pit instead of a fireplace. But guess what?
Mr. Comforts of Home started the PERGOLA today!
See that tall beam sticking out of the ground on the right of the flagstone patio?
Here is another view....you can see it on the left now.
Yep, that lonely post is going to grow up to become a Pergola soon. I will show you pictures as it progresses.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway. Just go here to enter.
Welcome Home,
Penny

This is great! Your pictures have made me laugh. I can't wait until the next picture to see how you are progressing. It is going to be fabulous. I've always had a romantic feeling about pergolas. Are you planning to have vines growing over it? It will be beautiful.
Penny, I love Pergolas and I am sure yours will be just beautiful! Can't wait to see the finished project!
Don't you just love seeing your plans come to fruition? This is so exciting.
One post down, three to go! I'll bet you are excited to see this idea come to fruition. I can't wait to see it finished myself.

Alright, he has started it. These men put things off forever. Maybe he likes working out in the cold. Can't wait to see the finished product.
That's great that the pergola has started. It will make such a lovely area to entertain.
How exciting Penny! Can;t wait to see it! Also how did you add numbers to your comments?? I really like that.
That is going to look fantastic Penny! The two of you do such a wonderful job, and I can't wait to see it all done.
I love your inspiration photos, Penny, and can't wait to see your own Pergola. We had a terrific storm here on Monday night and lost a tree, our flag pole and the rose arbor - lots of clean up and repair projects coming up!
Oh I know it is going to be wonderful. Can't wait to see it all done. Hugs, Marty
Yay! Oh, Penny, it's going to be fabulous!

what a beautiful area...the pergola is going to be a wonderful addition.
I have been wishing for a pergola for many years now. I will have to encourage my Mr. Man to follow the building process in hopes of getting him to build for ME!!!
Blessings,
Bren

Is Mr.Comforts of Home for rent? Now you know I'll take good care of him while he builds mine after he completes your beauty! Penny, it will be fabulous in that open space.
I'm having a hard time getting you know who to stay home and just re-stain the gazebo! He'll be back from England tomorrow so I'm thinking of tying him to the garden on a long rope so he can rake, mow, stain....etc!!
I ordered my bougies too - thanks again dear!
What fun! I can't wait to see your pergola. I want a pergola (or two!) but have to wait for other things to be in place first. Would you send Mr. Comforts this way, please? And you can come, too, so we can have a good chat and have fun together?
~Adrienne~
You guys never stop. The pergola will be beautiful I'm sure.
Hugs,
Penny

Exciting times................ I love the inspiration photo. You are going to love your new outdoor space for sure!
The pergola will really make this area feel like a special outdoor room. I can't wait to see it completed!
I can't wait to watch it progress. I'm sure you and Mr. Comforts will love your new addition.
