So What Did You Do?

One of my sisters and her husband visited this weekend.  We went antiquing and we also went boating on a mountain lake.

The lake was called Fontana Lake and it is outside of Bryson City, NC.  We could not have asked for a better boating day.

I also did a little fall decorating to the mantel.

Sunday it was raining and cooler, so it is beginning to feel like fall here.

Now, to the answer to "Weekend, Where Is It?"

The first picture was taken in Provence France.

This second picture was taken in Flat Rock, NC at Sky Top Apple Orchard.

The majority of you were correct!  25 of you guesses Europe and 12 guessed USA.

Come back next Friday for another Weekend, Where Is It.

I was busy having fun with my sister this weekend and I see I have missed a lot of your posts!  I will catch up with you all later today.
Welcome Home,
Penny

  1. It's always fun to pal around with a sister! Your mantle looks so pretty, Penny.

I weny to Manhattan both days this weekend ...lots of fun fall festivals are going on, and I visited the new "Eataly" Italian market that is in the Flatiron district. It was lots of fun to see all the products they had for sale.

  2. Love Fontana Lake. We almost bought a timeshare there but fear of timeshares stopped us. Glad you had such a fun time before the rains came.

As usual, I reasoned wrong on the sheep. It would probably be better if I just guessed...lol...

  3. Hi Penny, I missed your last post. I love your new idea and next time I hope I can guess too.

I am at this very minute, sitting in Beverly's craft room and we are both using our computers. She talks to herself a LOT. HA! We are in town visiting our son who lives in Raleigh. I spent the night with Beverly and we are having so much fun.Bill is at our son's home with Cheri. We only have one day so we will fill every minute with laughter and gossip. Well, not so much gossip. Smile. Lots of laughter though.

I have been to Fontana many times. A beautiful place to have fun with your sister. Love the antiquing idea and your mantel looks elegant and very fall. Mime is Halloween. I'll show it soon.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  4. Ah, Penny, it all looks so ... relaxing and gorgeous.

Jeanne is, at this moment, sitting next to me having a cow because she has a typo in the comment she just left you. And, trust me, the picture of Jeanne having a cow is not pretty.

  21. We both had weekends involving lakes, how fun is that?

Love your mantle. Is that an indoor "balcony" reflected in the mirror? I know balcony is not the right word but my brain won't access the one I want at the moment so balcony will have to do.
