Rooster Party!

I am joining Barb at Bella Vista for a Rooster Party! The actual party starts tomorrow the 6th but I saw a few of you starting early so I joined in the fun!  Everyone in blog land is or will be showing off their roosters!  So after visiting me, head over to Barb's blog to see all of the other blogger roosters!

I love French Country decor.  So, I have quite a few roosters inside and outside my home.  Here are some of them.
This is a decoupage rooster I created from vintage French letters and vintage French song books.  Available here.

The original rooster paintings I purchased from Donna at Mourning Dove Cottage.

Rooster Salt and Pepper in the kitchen hutch.

A pretty rooster apron from a blog friend.

The fabric above is on my kitchen chair cushions.

High on top of the book case is a metal rooster.

This red guy was a gift from Penny at Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen.  It is now outside by my front porch.

I have these wonderful rooster napkin rings....

These rooster plates sit on my dining room hutch.

I know I might have missed a few....Thank you for taking the time to visit me for the Rooster Party.  Have fun visiting all of the other blogs.  I am heading out visiting them right now!
Welcome Home,
Penny

  1. A few years ago, I could have matched you rooster for rooster! I have gotten rid of most of them now, but still have a couple that I could not part with. Hope you are having a great summer!

  27. I'm not a rooster collector myself, Penny, but I really love many of your things depicting roosters! I absolutely love your rooster lamp and your chair fabric. The fabric in your apron gift I had gotten one year and made some things for my Mom's kitchen with. She loved it ~ great fabric, too. I did a black and white check on the reverse side in case she wanted a change. Love your French Country look!

  31. I'm always drawn to roosters. A fella came into my shop and said it's always good for a kitchen to have a rooster; he prevents the man from straying....Well, for what's that worth (smile). Love the one standing guard in the garden. -s

  37. You have lots of roosters I love, starting with your French decoupage - - - sooo cute.

Then going on with the white rooster dish that is leaning way forward squawking his head off, the lamp shade topper, the red wire flower pot holder, and finishing up with the black/white check rooster plate ensemble.

    Great stuff!

  40. Penny, I love each and every one of these charming fellows. The white teapot is one of my favorites, and I remember when you had it glazed.

The next time you are in Raleigh, you need to go to the "concrete place" across the street from the NC State Farmer's Market. They have a giant rooster, and I think of you every time I see him. I have not idea of the cost, but they are nice people, and I find them very reasonable.
