Just keeping it real here folks! In case you were wondering if I do my own landscaping work.....Yep!
(Brave of me to post this picture, isn't it?)
We are digging up and moving some of the landscaping that was on the front right side of the house to the front left side. Ten more bags of mulch were spread on Saturday. Only 48 more to go.
We are taking a break on Sunday from yard work. See you Monday!
Welcome Home,
Penny

I love this picture of you. You look so happy and dirty! It is TOO HOT to do any yard work here today...mid 90s...so I am inside keepoing cool with the A/C on.
Hugs, Rhondi
You look like I did this past week! Dirty and Happy!!! Try to stay cool, though. Weather is so hot today, although in the mountains it may be cooler.
Perfect picture...I love the real! We all have pictures of real life!! I will be planting tomorrow....Have a great weekend.
I think you look very cute...real! :D
I think it's a darling picture. ANd those pink cheeks prove you're really working too.
Very cute! It looks like your face gets red when you work...mine gets so BEET red that people tell me I should stop! lol Enjoy your weekend! Take a shower when you can! lol ♥

Hi Penny! Oh, you look as cute as can be! I have a song for you...Green Acres is the Place For Me!! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Just one of the things I love about you, you are so real! lol You look just like me when I do intense yard work, except I look like I rolled inthe dirt by the time I'm done. You deserve a break Sunday, you get so much done you put me to shame!
You are working so hard! You'll end up with a showplace if you keep this up! ::Jill
Penny - you look like a real pro!! Wish I had your help w/ my landscaping!
Hugs to you,
Shelley
Penny, you look ready to work. I love to wear my work shirt, pants and shoes (boots). They are so comfortable. Have a nice weekend. sandi
I love that picture! The smile on your face put one on mine! I'm working in the soil tonight too. Hoping to eek out just a little more gardening of the day.
You are living the glamorous life. LOL Cute photo, though. My sweetie did all of our yard work today, bless him. I do need to go out and pick green beans, though.
Your yard is going to be so beautiful when you get it all done. Glad you are going to get to take the day off tomorrow. Hope it was cooler there than it was here. Love & blessings from NC!
As always, you're an inspiration!
This is a VERY fashionable look this time of year and in fact I have a very similar outfit AND the exact same hat!
You (and the yard) are lookin' good!
I love it. You need to enlarge, frame and hang this one.
Enjoy today. It was 97 degrees here yesterday, and it is supposed to be 93 degrees today. Too hot and humid for me.
Cute photo, Penny. I love it!
So cute! Yard work can be so rewarding. I've been out in mine all week, and can feel it in my back!
Hugs,
Donna
Drink lots of water!!!!!! You are brave, although you look just fine. You should (as in shouldn't) see me when I garden. I haven't figured out how not to look like a complete mess when I garden. I was at a garden center the other day and they had the most adorable little fru-fru garden apron. Yea, right. That would last!
Awww Penny! How cute you look! Looks like me!! HA! You have to get dirty to make a pretty yard!
Cant wait to see the finished:)
Hugs..
Deb:)
Well, Penny, you sure look happy. Are you also sporting a sunburn? I hope not. Pace yourself...
Hey, did you steal my outfit? That's how I frequently look. :) Wouldn't have it any other way.
Looks like you have a smile on your face even though you have 48 more bags of mulch to spread! Love your little planter chairs and that pasta recipe sounds delish. I adore asparagas.
You look cute as a bug. 'Can't wait to see the finished project.
That's alot of mulch! Can't wait to see photos of the finished work!
Cute picture!
Pat look at you!! Even in all the heat and humidity. Take it easy and drink lots of fluids!
You look adorable, Penny! I do all my own gardening..but of course I don't have anywhere near the amount of property you have!
Hi Penny....Only 48 more to go! Sounds daunting when you put it that way! The humidity really kicks your rear when you have to work outside when the weather is like this...of course this is much better than snow! We trimmed a forsythia hedge that took a few hours to do and I almost had a HEAT STROKE! You would not want to have seen my photo yesterday! It's all worth the hard work though when everything looks beautiful in the end! Hope you will share your landscaping photos
when you are finished!~Hugs, Patti
Definitely need to take a break from gardening. The body needs time to recover
Alison
Saturday and Sunday I was trimming shrubs and I looked like you but I had a wet bandana around my neck and had to sit down every 5 minutes to rest. I also jumped in the pool when it got unbearably hot.
Take care.
Gretchen
I love this picture! Looks like me when I'm in my yard1 lol
((((((((((Penny))))))))))))) You look absolutely adorable in this picture! I LOVE your smile!
Hugs,
Dena
I agree with Dena! What a great smile you have!!
So cute! Is it as hot there as it is here? Today it's too hot for even me to be outside - index says 106!!
Manuela
Well you managed to stay cleaner looking than I usually do - it's a great shot of you Penny! Bob and I just moved 10 cu.yds. of cedar chips around the back garden pathways (before the real heat arrived thank goodness!). That's always a huge job but the result looks clean and fresh - now it's much too hot to breath out there let alone actually work!!
Hugs - Mary
That's my everyday look during the summer. It's more fun to do it yourself and more satisfying!
I think you look adorable! And very happy to be working and improving your yard. Do you two ever stop!?! LOL!!
I Love the picture of you and your husband on the boat at Lake Lure too. Just beautiful!
Your yard is coming along! I am so jealous of your garden. I miss having a garden.
Blessings,
Heather:)
