I love This Fabric!

I love this fabric!  It has all of the colors of my decor.  When I was antiquing with Gretchen earlier this week, I saw this fabric under a pile of stuff.  It is about a yard and a half and cost $8.00.

I have searched online for more of it, but can not find anymore.

Such a shame because it looks great with this couch...

This cheetah chair...

This red chair in the living room...

And it even looks good in the master bedroom!

I have loved this green chair for 10 years....but it really didn't go with my yellow toile.  It is comfy and a PETITE recliner - that somehow doesn't look like a recliner.  Somehow with this new fabric added to the room (curtains?) it looks good.  The prints on the floor ready to hang seem to match and the vintage oil painting over the chest looks good with it too.

Since I can't find any more of this fabric, I will probably use it for throw pillows in the great room.  But now I am keeping my eye out for something like this to make curtains for our bedroom.
(edited to add:  A few of you have suggested looking on the salvage edge for the name and then looking on line.  The salvage edge does give the manufacturer - Bloomcraft, but not the pattern name or number.  When I search Bloomcraft I find all kinds of fabric stores, but after looking at all of their patterns, I can't find it.)
(edited again to add:  I didn't want to recover the chair with the fabric, but make curtains with it, which would make the chair look like it belongs in the room.)
And now the project list has one more item added....
Welcome Home,
Penny

  1. Penny, what does the writing say on the selvage? I can keep an eye out for you if I know who makes this particular fabric.

  6. Here I thought I was the only one to pick out a hard to find or discontinued print! Hope you are able to find a supplier.

  7. Hi Penny,
That is nice fabric. Why don't you use it with some others in coordinating prints to recover your chair. Is there enough to just cover the top of the cushion and the front side of the back of the chair? I think it would be nice with a check or other two-toned fabric. That would stretch it out a bit anyway, something to ponder. Or not!
Not that you asked for my idea, but still just had to share that thought.
    Have a great long weekend,
    XO

  8. Lovely, lovely...been playing catch up with you since Ive been out in the garden and not at the computer...you've been very busy and the house is looking fantastic. I loved this material, too...such a shame you can't find more of it! Have you tried contacting any of the major furniture builders in North Carolina? They might be able to help you out as to suppliers and such.

  13. Penny, what if you used the fabric as an accent border on plain curtains and then made a pillow out of it too for your chair or the bed. Just a thought.

  15. I can see why you love it so. Very nice. Can you contact Bloomcraft directly? Go to the top...yes, the president of the company. It usually works quite well. Best of luck with it!

  17. That fabric is beautiful. And it does go perfectly in your home. If you could find something similar to make curtains out of, that would really pull the bedroom together, along with those prints. Such a shame you can't locate more of it. Looks like you could use it everywhere.

  19. Do you have enough to make valances, and then choose another fabric as a companion to complete the window treatment?

  20. Penny to get the most out of fabric, make the backs of your pillows with another fabric. You can get twice as many that way! Maybe you will come across it sometime. I see why you love it!

  21. I'm not necessarily a sewer, but I was going to suggest what Beverly did. If you have enough to put as part of your curtain detail, that would look great. Either as a valance or the topper to a panel or something!

  24. It's beautiful Penny. Without a pattern name or number I am afraid finding more would be a needle in a haystack! You got a great deal though and it will make lovely pillows:>)

  26. I had our 2 wing chairs covered in fabric very similar to that years ago and seeing it brought back memories of when I used all those rich colors in our home. Sure hope you can find some more of it.
