During the 3 weeks we spent in France, I took 386 pictures. I know that looking at travel pictures can be really boring, and I have gone on about this trip for a couple of weeks worth of posts.
So, I thought I would show you a few more random pictures of the south of France and then this post will be the final post of the trip.
There are about 25 pictures to follow....so go get an espresso or a glass of wine, put on some French music and take your time, looking at the beauty of France.
The ship we traveled on.
Our cabin.
Normandy Beaches including Omaha Beach and the American Cemetary at Colleville.
Towns, wineries, chataeus...
The French countryside with cows, sheep, gardens...
An Olive Farm
Wonderful French windows, expresso, flower markets and dining al fresco.
A little more shopping and of course Lavender.
As you can see, we enjoyed our trip to France very much. Thank you for letting me share it with you.
Next post....back to the Comforts of Home....
Welcome Home,
Penny

Hi Penny....oh we could have looked at 100 more photo's...please post more....Please!!
Husband wanted to know what that was out on the beach in the 3rd. picture..we have been on the Normandy beaches and he didn't remember seeing anything like that..those big concrete looking things...
I never get tired of looking at pictures, Penny. Thanks so much for sharing all your wonderful posts about your fabulous trip to France. Since I have been there, it was fun to remember my time there too. I know that you and your husband had a magnificent time on your trip. Love & blessings from NC!
How, what dreamy photographs! I especially love the one of the Chateau. I just read on The French General that Kaari is hosting a getaway to the South of France, and the chateau looks very much like the one here. Oh, your dream was lovely, and I love your cabin. A beautiful memory forever in your hearts.

The pictures are just breathtaking. You have made me really want to go there one day. Feel free to show more pics anytime!

Thanks for sharing that beautiful holiday, Penny. Loved seeing all the pictures.
Now, welcome back home!
Penny, j'adore France. Thank you for posting these gorgeous pictures. I've scrolled down and admired them all.
Later today I'll come back with a glass of wine and stay longer. Right now it's breakfast time, but I will be back. We hoped to go to France this year, but now it will have to be next year.
A bientot,
Sam
Good morning Penny. I just scrolled down to view all the wonderful photos you have shared with us. I could go on and on enjoying France through your eyes. I love the bust your dh carried all the way home and around the countryside. Now, I want to see where you put her. Maybe you showed us and I missed it. The shops, the flowers, the country side and the places of interest. Ooh La La is my comment on all of your posts. The ship is not huge, I like that and your room is lovely. Lucky you to have had such a wonderful experience.
BTW, the tulips are from our meeting at the Biltmore. I want to go again but with Bill teaching it won't happen this year. His weekends are full of grading exams etc. sigh.
Have a wonderful day. It is raining here. We need it!
Hugs, Jeanne
You took some great photos. I really like the glimpses you give us of things we might not otherwise see...the doors, the windows...weren't those curtains with the cats on the lace great? An automatic kitty in the window, which always means home and hearth.
Have no worries about posting photos of your trip with me. I enjoy seeing it all.
I loved every one of them...yum to the lavender in the old box! I have seen a lot of France pictures of late..yours I have enjoyed the most! Come say hi :D
Hello my fellow "shackster"! Thanks for the mini trip to France, oh how I envy you! It looks like you had a wonderful time, so glad you took so many picutures to share with us!

I could look at pics of your trip to France every day, just love them! It's not as good as being there, but it's the best we can do for now :)

maybe we will get there too someday?!?!

I haven't been bored at all!
We took a two week tour of France a few years, ago. I'd love to try the boat tour.
Was this a fast paced tour or more leisurely? Do you mind if I ask what company you used?

So many memories, too little time! I want to go back again because there is so much more to see and fall in love with. To think I haven't see the Northern coast is sad - I lived right across the Channel and never got there! Thanks for sharing Penny, you made this morning with my coffee like a return to France without the hassle of airports!
I also did a lavender post today - hoping to grow more of this beautifully perfumed plant now I have a new full sun area - I need to plant it in rows as in your photo to get that Provence look - perhaps I should shop for more as three look a bit lost. Thanks for your sweet comments on my garden - it is looking lovely right now - April is the best month in NC. Know you will eventually have a beautiful garden too - hey, how about a field of lavender out back - plenty of sun and space - would go well with that outdoor fireplace you're dreaming about, fabulous.
So happy you and K were able to take this trip - here's to the next one dear.
Hugs to you both - Mary
I love all of your pictures Penny. What a wonderful trip. How is your garden coming? Can't wait for an update.
