Sisters, Sisters....

Do you remember the scene in White Christmas where Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen sing the song "Sisters"? That is one of my sisters and my favorite songs.

Last year I told my sister (who lives in another state) that I couldn't find my favorite brand of Candy Canes here. The brand is Bob's Candy Canes.

Do you know what my sweet sister did? She mailed me a box of Bob's Candy Canes!! Thanks Sis! Love ya!!
Welcome Home,

That was so sweet of her. I love your Santa mug...I have one too without any paint left on it. It belonged to my great grandma.

What a "sweet" thing for your sister to do. Aren't sisters great? I am blessed to have 3 of them. I also love the book under the candy canes. I have it too...somewhere! A very good friend of mine gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago.

That was sweet! Penny, the house is looking beautiful! The toile wallcovering and the black and white floor for your studio space are all favorites of mine!

I love that movie and I love that song, just like my girls do. I think every set of sisters thinks that song is just for them:>) It sounds like you have a very sweet sis!

My baby sister is my joy! How thoughtful of your sister to do that for you! It made me smile!
I am so overjoyed that you like my tree so much! I sort of expected some giggles... :) I just have so many extra plates. I added to the post how to hang the plates so they won't weight down the tree and will also be safe and sound! They ARE heavy!
Thanks again, Penny! :)

Sisters are so great. I was shopping yesterday for Christmas gifts and both my sister's called while I was in Home Goods (my favorite therapy). It was my Birthday 61 (gulp) and they called to say Happy Birthday. Lynne lives in North Carolina, and Susan lives in Pennsylvania.

Your candy canes look delicious, and isn't it grand that we have sisters who although live far, are close to our hearts wherever we go.

Bob's are my favorite too. I sent my husband to Walgreens for them and they didnt have them, he came home with another brand. Then I went to our grocery store and there they were!

I didnt feel well this morning and my husband told me point blank that it was surely a peppermint overdose afflicting me. I sheepishly hid a half eaten candy cane behind my coffee cup and denied it. Doesnt everyone eat candy canes for breakfast?
