Things I Need To Do List

I decided to create a "Things I Need To Do List" and add it to my sidebar on my blog. When I complete something, I will mark Done.

Take, for instance, this built-in magazine rack in the master bath. As remodeling tends to go, this was installed BEFORE I had a chance to paint it. So now I need to paint it and I have added it to my "to do" list.

I will also be adding other projects to the list as they come along. It helps me to feel a little more organized and in control when I have a list. Plus I really get a sense of accomplishment when I complete a task and can mark it Done.

Do you make lists?
Welcome Home,
Penny

  2. Aren't lists just lovely. I enjoy the satisfaction of checking done or "x"ing it out when I've done what I needed to do also! I just changed my blog to a 3 column... your house is coming along beautifully. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Good for you. I am definitely a listmaker, too. They help me stay focused, and they give that sense of accomplishment we all need.

    You're the best.

  4. I love lists! Marking something off is the best feeling. Sometimes I will sit and think...what needs to be done by Christmas...what needs to be done by summer...what needs to be done by graduation time. It helps keep the ball rolling and makes me feel good. I guess it's part of nesting.

  5. I do enjoy having lists to cross off - it gives such a feeling of accomplishment. And it's nice to have it where my sweetheart can see the list, see what I've completed and help with things I need his help with. He tells me it help him, too, and gives him an idea of where HE is in the process. He says it's something 'definite' rather than a vague in-your-head list of responsibilities and expectations known only to the mental list owner! You're doing a great job and I will enjoy watching your progress through your list. ~Adrienne~

  8. Hi Penny,
I do the same thing. Every Saturday morning while Gary and I are having coffee we make a list of everything we want to get done over the weekend.
Sometimes we think we will never get he all done, but every weekend we keep chipping away at the list.
Take care and enjoy your beautiful day in the mountains of NC.

  13. I carry lists of all kinds, in my palm/phone. I even have one titled "Why I go to work every day". It lists all the things I want - like pay off bills, fireplace for living room, etc. Then there's a page for each place I shop - Walmart, Dollar Store, Home Depot, etc. Every time I think of something, I can just pull out my palm/phone and put it in - no excuse to not remember though - Darn! Have a great weekend.
