Moving Day

The movers at the end of the day....no they weren't drinking the wine. Good friends stopped by and dropped off dinner, dessert and some wine.

The moving company was called Two Men and a Truck. Yes, I know there were three men...

As you can see, there still is painting and back splashes to be done...on hold until we unpack.

Last night was the first time I saw the house lit up at night. Looks pretty good.

Just a quick post to say that yesterday - moving day - went pretty good! It was a long, long day. We got up at 6AM and the movers finished unloading the truck at 7PM.
We still have my studio and our barn to pack and move. We are planning that on Saturday. In the meantime, I am unpacking here at my new home at night and driving to my old home and packing there....
See you soon!
Welcome Home
Penny

It looks as if things are really coming together.
I am thinking you painted the living room in the same yellow you had in the old house? It sure looks warm and cheery...
I just painted a bedroom in Country White and now I am not real happy with the room...could it be I need this shade of yellow?? :)

Woo Hooness! You're in! I'm so glad your move went well. Now just take your time because I know unpacking and finding a place for everything takes time.
Rest a bit now, Penny! I know I'm talking to the wall, aren't I? :)
Be a sweetie,

Yay! You are almost home now:>) That was a long day and I know you have a few more ahead, but you'll be all tucked in for the winter and I know you will be fluffing and nesting to beat the band:>) I hope you get a chance to put your feet up tonight!

Your home looks beautiful with all the lights.

Our last move was a memorable one. It was the day after Christmas because the kids were afraid Santa wouldn't find them in the new home. We woke up on the 26th and started loading the truck as we packed! What fun!
Hugs,
Dawn

Glad it went well dear - they look like movers who would care for your treasures - especially as they were still grinning at the end of a long day!

House looks gorgeous lit up - can't wait to peek on Friday. See you soon - 10 AM, you know where!!!!

Just readying to leave - raining here and looks like chilly your way - packing warm clothing.

Hi Penny, I know a lot of people think unpacking is work but I always liked it. You get to start fresh and new. And I know you will have so much fun arranging and rearranging. I sure hope you guys aren't getting the rain that we are...it's pouring cats and dogs and coming west from the mountains. :)

The main hard part is over. Yeah, lots of little odds and ends. But you've got your furniture there, and soon you can start decorating and making it uniquely Penny's home.
