The Move...Studio

The Move......So here is a picture of what the studio looks like right now..this moment.

I have my computer set up on what is normally the table I mosaic on. All of my plates, grout, tile adhesive, nippers, etc are still at my old home. We are moving all of that over on Saturday.
See the white floor? I know I told you I planned on painting a harlequin pattern on the floor. But after spending a couple of days using the room, it is not feasible. Every move of my chair creates a mark. So, I am looking for an alternative.
Tomorrow I am taking a break. I am meeting a blog friend for the first time. She is coming to my area. Stay tuned to find out who she is....
Welcome Home,

  1. It looks great so far! What a nice big room! Enjoy your day tomorrow.

  2. Oh, I know you must be so so tired. Do have a wonderful time with your friend and try to get some rest.
    Hugs bj

  3. What an amazing work space! I wish that my office was that large and bright. I can't wait to see the finished product!

  4. Wow what a wonderful room!
Are those built in cupboards? I adore them!
SO glad you're able to have some free Penny Time with your blog friend~enjoy your day!

  5. It is so big and beautiful. I know you will create some wonderful things in that room.

  6. Penny,
I love your studio and I love the floors just plain white like that. That is a huge room. I can't wait to see who the lucky blogger is to be able to spend the day with you.

  7. Hi Penny,
I took a break from blogging for some time, but missed all my friends and am now back.
Was so surprised to see your new blog and to see that you are moving. Looks like a beautiful home.
Next place we move to is going to be finished. I'm weary after 6 years and over 6,000 sq. ft. of home and basement to do...

I wish you the best as you move into your new home.

    Hugs, Jan

  8. I know who you are meeting. ;-) And, I know you both will have a wonderful time.

Enjoy, and give yourself a break.

  9. Enjoy your break - you deserve it! Can't wait to see what your new plan for your studio floor will be.

  10. Hi, Penny -
Love your studio - actually, I'm a bit jealous! So glad you are taking a break to spend time for fun with a friend. Did you use deck and porch paint on your floor? We did our kitchen and dining room floors with it a few years before we could afford what we wanted. It held up well and didn't scatch.

  11. This room looks so nice and big! Too bad about the harlequin design, but I know you'll come up with something that looks great:>) Have fun tomorrow!

  12. I already know who she is and you will just love her. Have fun!

  13. Wow, Penny! What a workspace! Are you CHOMPING at the bit to get back to mosiacs? (Little mosaic pun there...) I'm sure getting that room set up with be quite enjoyable! Flooring... hmmm... Well, you could accomplish almost the same thing as a painted harlequin if you did high-contrast linoleum squares set on point. But you may not want lino when you have such gorgeous things in the rest of the house. I'm positive you will think of something great!

    :-) Marilyn

  14. Penny I like how your studio looks! You've picked the right color, for a backdrop of your work! Looking forward to your floor idea!

I have a bit of an idea of who you are meeting. Have fun! I'm looking forward to the photos!

  15. Looks great! Enjoy your weekend.

  16. Your studio is so big and bright! I love it! Couldn't you just put a rug under your chair? I would love to see a harlequin floor in here!
