Here Is What I am Thinking...

Some on asked in my last post, how the master bath was going. So far we are still in the getting rid of the uglies part of the equation...So, here is what I am thinking....take one ugly bath and give it a makeover.

I LOVE the tile in this bath below. I also love the mirror above the tub. (click on any picture to enlarge).

I love the idea of two separate sinks with a table/dresser/cabinet/hutch in between. Plus I love the subway tiles on the wall.

I ADORE the tub below with the pedestal base. I like it more than a claw foot tub, because you don't need to worry about cleaning underneath it. Plus, it seems more grounded in the room.

So, I am thinking about taking the floor tiles I love, the subway tiles, the great tub with the pedestal base and separate sinks with a piece of furniture in between them and turning it into MY master bath. It might take a couple of months to do, but stayed tuned and watch the progress.... And in the meantime I will be working on the kitchen, and every other room of the house. So these post might jump around a lot....

Welcome Home,
Penny

  1. Love all of your ideas for your master bath especially the tub and the white subway tiles! I've always wanted a soaking tub but we don't have room for a separate shower in our master bathroom.

  4. Penny,

I think now would be a nice time to start planning the bath. And you have already narrowed down so many great ideas. I love the bathtub because...I have it!! It is my new bathtub at the lake!! Originally I wanted the claw foot but they wer big $$$$. Then my husband found this one online (I can email you the info if you'd like. He really reserches his purchases for price and quality). As the plumbing is not hooked up yet, I haven't actually taken a bath in it but it looks great and I love it!!

Best of luck with your plans!!

  7. I love the bath - I look at those all the time in the magazines and think 'that's what I'd have if I were remodeling'. I love the pink too - a girl has to remember that it's nice to look at herself in a pink light early in the morning and late at night!

  12. I would love to see it all finished.....or even still under construction! Yes, let's pop over if you're that close to ScreenDoor - it will be another exciting part of the Oct. weekend trip! I'm so looking forward to it.

Penny, the tub will look great. I love the idea of a piece of furniture between two wash basins -very elegant! Both you and dh are certainly very accomplished as renovators - great things happening I can see.

    Take care on those ladders!
    Hugs - Mary.

  14. Wonderful ideas Penny. I can't believe how you and your husband think nothing of gutting a room and starting all over. You two are amazing. I have never done this, I wouldn't know where to begin.

    Have a great day. Karen
