Wicker

The wicker transformation has begun. I have taken them all down from the barn loft and have brushed all of the paint flakes off them.

They are sturdy....they just need a new coat of paint.

If the rain stays away, we will paint them today....

What are you doing this week? Any great plans? I would love to hear about them.
Welcome Home,
Penny

Hi Penny,
I love wicker too!. My daughter keeps trying to take my love seat home with her I have in the back yard. May be I'll give it to her and buy me a new one. I can't wait to see your wicker all painted new again.
I have been working on my bedroom for the last two weekends, but I need more time to finish. This weekend coming up I will paint the walls.
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

I bet you're getting more excited each day as you get closer to the closing day.

I'm curious as to what kind of paint that you're going to use on it. I have some wicker furniture stored that my daughter wants to repaint and put on her back patio.

Hi Penny
That is a lot of painting but they will look great when they are done. I'm working ona couple of new sewing projects: some quilts made with old shirts, sewing a lot of fabric together to make enough yardage to cover 2 of our dining room chairs, finishing sewing the binding on another quilt, volunteering at the church, babysitting for a friend, taking someone out tomorrow to show where the consignment and antique stores are because she is new to Charlotte, having our church group here tomorrow night and in between doing the regular household chores.
Hope you have agreat week.
Hugs, Rhondi

WAIT!! I like the painty, chippy look, don't you? I wouldn't paint them, but then again, that's just me. It's all pretty anyway regardless of what you decide.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your wicker project turns out Penny! This weekend we are headed up to the cabin. I am hoping to do some kayaking and get a new photo of my loon baby!

Hi Penny, I should be painting my wicker furniture on my porch. After the winter it is looking kind of rough. We were gone so much they didn't get their usual paint job yet this year.

I selected green to paint my guest room as you suggested. I brought several paint chips to pick just the right green. I forgot about the chips until you asked what projects we are working on. Now I will have to wait until daylight to really check the color choice. I am excited to get started.

Have your new house inspections etc. all passed? I hope so.

Hugs...Jeanne

Hi Penny,
I love wicker. It really does stand up well and all it takes is a fresh coat of paint to look good as new. By the way, I'm sending you the Splash Award, too. Come and get it at your leisure. :)

They are going to look good as new after you get through painting them. Are you going back with white?

Penny the wicker is going to look wonderful.
I will be getting the second kid off to college this week,
he leaves this weekend.
It is funny because my plans stop at this weekend and I have not
planned anything past that point…
I think I am resisting the empty nest.

I'm anxious to see your technique. I painted some wicker this spring and it's already flaing off. I used a spray paint for wicker. Maybe I should have put a clear sealer coat on them? Thoughts?
