Falling In Love

I have been falling in love with old vintage marble and alabaster lamps. There is just something so Country French about them to me. Usually the ones I see when out antiquing are out of my price range. But I found this one recently in a local antique mall. (You can click on the picture to enlarge for detail).

The price was right, so it came home with me. I know I will find the perfect place for it in my new home.
Welcome Home,
Penny

I love the old marble and alabaster too Penny. Glad you found that fab lamp. I hear you on the tennis. I tore my hamstring just a little over a year ago and it's not been right since. I can move from side to side pretty quickly but not forward. I haven't been on a tennis court since and I miss it so! We were supposed to go to the US Open but I don't think it is going to happen this year...other plans. But my son will be doing volunteer tennis with the little tykes on opening day. He doesn't know which Pro he will be working with yet. xo Lynn

Hi Penny,
It is lovely! and will be perfect in your new home. The alabaster is so pretty and what I like about it is that, it's heavy and not easily tipped over.
Can't wait to see where you put it.
Take care and enjoy your day,
Elizabeth

Holy cow, I can't believe how many of your posts I have missed! Love the lamp. I have such a hard time choosing lamps. They seem to be one of those things I just don't have a good eye for, but I always love the ones I see on other peoples blogs. Now, what is the shade going to look like?
