We Found The House!!

I am trying to keep my feet on the ground....trying not to get too excited....We found our HOME. We made an offer. It was accepted. Here is a picture is the front of it. The couple standing on the left are out Realtors. The man standing in the center is Mr. Comforts of Home. You can click on the picture to enlarge. And if you enlarge the picture you can get a sneak peak at the staircase inside the foyer.

Now here is what is going on. It is a foreclosure. It is bank owned. There are all kinds of addendums that have to be signed. Today we had the house inspector there. We will get his report this weekend. If there are no major issues we proceed.

Come back on Monday and I will show pictures of the inside. But, you have to keep in mind that this is a foreclosure and the previous owners removed chandeliers, refrigerators, door knobs...etc. They left some dents in the walls. All cosmetic. It all can be fixed.

Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me! Have a great weekend everyone!
Welcome Home,
Penny

So glad for you Penny! I'm guessing since it is a foreclosure you're getting a good deal. A thrifty find so to speak. Good luck with the inspection. Looking forward to seeing the inside.

This is so exciting and I am very happy for you! I hope the transaction is completed smoothly and quickly.

You are really smart to overlook cosmetic flaws but you'd be surprised at the number of people who can't and expect a house to be "move-in ready." I guess that's why "stagers" are so popular these days. I'm really looking forward to seeing the interior and your decorating plans!

Again, congratulations!

The house is just beautiful. You're going to need to buy lots of rockers for the porch for all of us bloggers that want to visit! It's a shame that people trash a houe like that. No excuse. I'm sorry when you have difficulties, but that is no reason to lower yourself. Can't wait to see the interior shots. That house would be way expensive out here in California even with the economy down. I'm happy for you.

It's beautiful and I will keep my fingers crossed for y'all! We also bought a foreclosure...lot's of red tape and also messed up and bare on the inside. The price was right though! Good luck!

Happy dreaming. The best part of looking forward to moving to a new home is the dreaming part.
