I love Lavender! We plant it all around our gardens. I took this picture yesterday afternoon in my front courtyard. You can click on the picture to enlarge it.

We live on a mountain ridge, looking at a mountain peak... That is where the Hill part comes in.

I took this picture of the mountain peak this morning.
Welcome Home,
Penny

You live in such a beautiful area. I can only imagine how much that inspires your creativity.
I love lavender but have never attempted to plant/grow any. I think I will research and try some this year. We're really getting our yard in order :0)
Penny, you are so blessed to be able to walk out your door into your gorgeous yard with a fabulous view!!!! Your lavender must love living there as much as you.

Oh Penny...I bet the scent is heavenly, too! I also LOVE Lavender and have just started making sachets...so much fun! I may just plant some in some containers on the deck. Not sure if it will do well here in the GA clay~~lol!

My what a spectacular view you have! The lavender is lovely! I really like lavender and I've tried to grow it but have had problems. I guess it's too hot and moist in Georgia?

I love lavender too, and so do the hummingbirds:>) I have a large area ooutside my bedroom window planted with several different kinds of lavender so I get to watch the bees and birds enjoy it! I knew the view of your mountainside would be beautiful this time of year!

PS, Did you know we have a Lavender Festival over in Oak Ridge, (just outside of Knoxville) in June? Here's the link you can check it out. http://secretcityfestival.com/schedule.html
Penny,
Your lavender is beautiful and I love the view from your hill. I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to look out at that every day! :-D
I have tried to grow lavender plants several times, but they always died. I thought maybe it was our soil. But then iI met a neigbor who has it growing right outside her bathroom window~for the lovely scent, of course!
Have a wonderful week, Penny!

Thank you Penny! You're welcome to borrow it! I always love the toile lamp you have. I want to do the same for Luna's room but in pink! Hugs, Vanessa
That lavender is gorgeous! You have such beautiful surroundings!
Penny,
Your yard and garden look so beautiful. I am jealous that your lavender is blooming. I'm patiently waiting for my new baby lavenders to bloom. I couldn't live without lavender, roses and hydrangeas in my garden. Have a blessed week!

What a fantastic view!!!

Love lavender out of doors, but find it difficult to tolerate in closed quarters...though lavender Johnson and Johnson baby powder is an exception. Do you harvest it to use in projects?
Your lavender is so pretty. I would love to be sitting on your porch looking at the view and smelling the lavender.
