Unfinished Projects....

Remember this plate from a few posts back?

Well it is now part of ANOTHER project that I have going on in my home and not finished yet. This buffet is in my dining room. I had painted the sides and front black last year when I redecorated my dining room. I had planned on covering the top in mosaics, because it has seen better days. I am finally getting around to it.

Remember this silverware chest? STILL NOT FINISHED! I am waiting to go to Michael's to pick up something I need to finish it.

Sometimes, I just whip through projects. Other times it seems to take forever!

Do you have any projects going on around the house?

Welcome Home,

Penny

  10. I can't wait to see your finished projects! I have a ton-it's really bad when you forget about something you started and then discover it years later. That is what happens when you move!

Can I ask you a question? What color is the red you've used on the chest and your big hutch? I just love it!

  17. Penny, I can just imagine how wonderful these pieces will look once they are completed! I can't wait!!! lol!
Okay, I've got 2 end tables, one coffee table, one oak cubby cabinet and my cherished corner cabinet that all stand "uncompleted or waiting". I've just decided that my cornder cabinet and my oak cabinet will be painted a colonial red w/an heirloom white "back" and the tables will be painted heirloom white. I've started and painted the drawers and put on a new pull. I wanted to "live with it" for a bit to be sure it's what I wanted before I committed and did the whole thing. So far I have to say I'm loving the "light".
    Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  19. Good morning Penny, I have been slow to comment these last several days as my cousin Marilyn is here and she is keeping me busy. I realize my excuses are always company but we do have a steady stream of it don't we? I enjoy it and it keeps me on my toes cleaning house. Therapy three times a week doesn't help. I showed Marilyn your beautiful things on your slide show. She saw the rooster tray and loved it. She told me where it should go in my house and it is exactly where I planned to put it.

Your table is gorgeous Penny and it will be interesting to see the silverware drawer finished. Your buffet is a big project and I know it will be wonderful.

I too am very excited about Sat. I hope the late freeze did not slow down the flowers too much. See you at the Bistro at 11:30 am.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  22. We're working on the back yard. It's really starting to look nice. I'm giving my Mom a surprise birthday bar-b-que so I want it looking special.

Inside? Not so much. I have a bedroom I need to strip of wallpaper and then have textured and painted. It's nothing I think I could do. I have been doing little projects. I started making a list of them - little nagging things that I kept putting off. Checking them off a list really helps.

    Happy Days!
