I know a lot of you mid west and northern bloggers are really tired of snow. But here in NC, in the area I live, we get very little snow. Yesterday was the exception. It started snowing about 11AM and snowed for 12 hours. We ended up with about 8 inches of snow. When I woke up this morning it was to a winter wonderland. I put on my boots (garden - I don't have winter boots) and heading out to take a few pictures. Please click on them to enlarge and see all of the beauty.

Looks very familiar! heehee! And you NEED to get some winter boots! Go to Mast General, downtown! But not today! lol Stay warm!
Good Morning Penny. Your snow is so pretty. I bet the birds are glad there is food in the feeder. When it's extremely cold here the birds eat all day at the feeders. Your view is just unbelievable!
Penny, it looks quite enchanting and I'm sure that it will be gone soon. The white snow against the red in the birdhouse...wonderful!
Hi Penny,
I just love the picture's of the snow.We do not get snow in Modesto CA. So I enjoy seeing the snow pictures very much. I also enjoy you and your blog. You are truly one of the sweetest blogger's I have met.
Have a great day,
Elizabeth
Incredible! Such beauty to behold! Penny, these are frameworthy...
xo,
Sheila :-)
Absolutely breathtaking photos! I am envious, but then, I know my blood isn't thick enough for that kind of cold. I can best enjoy it viewing your photos while sipping hot chocolate.
That little birdfeeder is darling! Love it with it's little snowcaps! :)
Trying to imagine a life without snowboots -- sigh!!
Hmm, looks like things were finally "winterized". Enjoy! It looks beautiful.
Penny,
You call it beauty...we have other names for it right about now:-)
Janet
I guess great minds really do think alike :-) Have you been to visit Donna today. She has a great mind too.
Do you think maybe we love to see the snow because it happens so seldom? Your pictures are beautiful. I love the mountains in the background and the birdhouse and birds at the feeder. I filled mine up this morning and am enjoying the company of the birdies while I do my domestic duties.
Enjoy your day.
Hi Penny,
Great minds do think alike! Love your snow pictures, we only got about an inch or two. Thanks for mentioning me in your post.
Hugs,
Donna
It is beautiful Penny, but living here in MI....I am tired of it! But, your snow is gorgeous!
Lisa ;)
A true winter wonderland, it's beautiful. Margaret
Looks like you got way more snow than we did! It was fun wasn't it! We had some really huge snowflakes which was different. We usually get teeny ones or ones mixed with rain. It reminded me of livingin NJ in the winter!
Manuela
I am enjoying the last little bits of your storm. I am not a big fan of winter weather but I do appreciate the beauty of it all.

Penny, I've oh'd and ah'd over every picture! The birdhouse is sooo cool! It doesn't snow here and seeing your pictures are such a treat. ♥
Penny..what absolutely exquisite pictures of snow! I was ..just overcome by longing to be in it. Oh, I know it can be a pain..and all the bad parts..but the beauty is simply a gift from God! It is!
My childhood was spent in an area that snowed every single year..and I guess it just brings back those wonderful memories of the fairytale world it created. Of course, I have always lived in that Fairy tale world..so.. :) Anyway...I loved them SO much.
Thank you for sharing them. You would never know the one was a dragon fly! :) Funny.
I am in awe of the gorgeous places some of the bloggers live! How fortunate you are, Penny! I can almost hear the silence. I say "almost" because a plane just flew over our house. (flight path!) :)
Hugs to you Penny. I loved your post!!!
Mona
Penny, you got some great shots of the snow! It was even prettier where you are than here in AL. It was fun for a day, but now I'm ready for spring.
Hi Penny, what beautiful views you have. I was hoping for maybe an inch of snow here in Summerville, but we got nothing. Oh well, maybe next year.
You even make the snow look charming in that first photo. Gorgeous views, I didn't realize that you got that much snow, wow. We got our typical fifteen inches, but here in Massachusetts that's been pretty common. I love your photos Penny.
Karen
Wow! Penny your photos are stunning. I was sad when they ended. We were supposed to get lots of snow but we didn't. I enlarged each one and it makes your area magical. This is unusual for sure in NC.
I was so happy to know you received the check so quickly. Thanks for letting me know. I'm really excited about that tray and I love that it can be removed from the stand.
Hug..Jeanne
Hi Penny! Oh, what a beautiful scene you have! Thanks for sharing this with us! Oh, and you've changed your blog dress and it's so pretty. Love your background, the red toile!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;) I'm honored you would like my humble little laundry room. Your home is just so beautiful!
Penny - I confess. I sent the snow fairies from Michigan to visit you! :-) Everything looks so lovely in your yard touched by the snow! Maybe you do need some snow boots....
Hugs!! Shelley
Very pretty, Penny. It really does look like a Winter Wonderlan! Why don't these beautiful snows come on Christmas morning? I am sure it will melt of soon where you are. We only got about 5 inches but it is 12 degrees now with a windchill of -3 .... brrrrr...
Oh you got much more than us!! In the mountains you are prepared for it though.......but you must pick up a pair of warm boots to keep your tootsies from freezing!
Very cold here tonight so ice expected in the morning - I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere!
Your red post was lovely Penny - and lucky Cindy winning your heart.

Good afternoon Penny, Your pictures are lovely! I do like the snow but it's the cold I could do without. It's 18 degrees here today. Enjoy your snow because in your area it will soon be gone. I hope you have a lovely day!
How beautiful this is...I am so so glad you are enjoying it. We haven't had even one snow here this winter..not to worry as I am not a snow bird, at all...
But yours, there in that pretty country is breathtaking!
Out like a lamb! I can't wait!
Oh, it really is a wonderland Penny. We just barely missed the snow. Less than 20 minutes from here there was 8 inches. We received a light dusting, then it turned back into rain and was gone. I guess I will just have to enjoy it through your lovely photos.
Rhonda
Hi Penny...your snow was prettier then our snow...you had more, we ended up with slush...and how random in 2 days it's suppose to be in the 70's?????????? Not that I'm complaining...
