  1. Reading in bed: flannel pajamas, a cup of tea and the electric blanket on. Sweet! I could do it for hours (which I have).

Comfort food? Milk toast. Hot milk poured on toast and sprinkled with cinnamin and sugar. My mother made it for me when I was a child and to this day I have it when I don't feel well.

Not very glamorous but it works for me.

  2. I love the jammies, Penny. Comforts of home? A fire in the fireplace; snuggling up next to my hubby, or kids, or animals; tuna casserole, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. :-)

  3. Hey Penny,
I love your pj's. Your room looks so relaxing and warm!
I love to stay in bed early in the mornings and drink my cup of coffee and read all of my favorite blogs. I also love my 500 count sheets and my electric blanket. I have to have that! When its my day off from work, I have to force myself to put up my laptop so that I wont stay on it for hours and not get anything done around my cottage.

One of my favorite comfort foods is chicken and dumplings. I would love to have some right now!

    Hugs,
    Lee Laurie

  4. Hi Penny, I love your photo today. You and your pj''s, slippers and the warm glow of the fire make the perfect look of comfort.

My comfort food is home made veg. beef soup. FULL of good stuff not watery. Hot tea and shortbread cookies (just two). My next comfort zone is putting on my favorite PJ's soft knit, pink and my bed all warmed up by my electric blanket. Ahhh warm and cosy and a good nights sleep. I have to be rested so I can knock myself out blogging. LOL. I do time myself though. We do know how time flies when visiting and commenting. When I run out of time I do stop. I give myself two hours or three on Sat. Otherwise I would never get anything done. Well your questions got me going> Smile

    Have a wonderful weekend Penny...Jeanne

  8. How sweet! Did you have a birthday this month, too? I love a nice bath...early in the evening and then the evening spent in my pjs! It's especially nice when hubby cooks! We had my favorite comfort food tonight! Breakfast supper (blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns with smoked bacon and sausage and hot coffee)! Stay warm!

  9. Playing on my computer, watching the old movie channel, listening to jazz, reading, a big cup of hot chocolate, my quilt, a nice hot shower! That's what I love, and comfort food... in winter, a nice bowl of good soup and a crusty roll. Yum!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  10. Yes, Penny, I like just what you are doing - getting into cozy, comfy 'jamas, lighting the fire (we burn real wood), and putting my feet up. Then I pour a nice Bailey's Irish Cream or a B&B in a brandy snifter, snuggle into my chair and watch the pictures in the fire flames. Life is good and I count all my blessings.

    Stay warm - Mary.

  26. Sounds very relaxing, but I just curl up into my bed and have my husband play with my hair. Thats as good as it gets. I have no fire place, and I don't care for the flannels due to my hot flashes!
