The "Fairy" Tale Continues...

The first Friday of December my town, Hendersonville, has an annual event called Old Fashioned Hendersonville Christmas. All of the merchants stay open and have hot chocolate and cider, cookies and cheeses and sales galore. Choirs stand on street corners and sing, Father Christmas walks around passing out candy canes and you can take a ride in a horse drawn carriage. We try to attend every year. This year we were suppose to spend the evening with friends, but that event got cancelled, so we were lucky that we could go to this holiday festival.

Remember a couple of posts ago, I showed you one of my Christmas Fairies? I said I had a small collection and someone wanted to see the rest. While downtown Friday, I picked up one more and it was 20% off!

I love the pile of packages on the head of the one above (click the pictures to enlarge for wonderful detail).

The little guy above has the funniest look on his face.

The one above was the first one I ever purchased.

Above is the one I showed you a few posts before.

And this one above is my newest! He is called the Toy Fairy and has a drum hanging from his hand.

They all are climbing the Christmas tree ladder on the side of my tree below.

So there you have all of my five Christmas Fairies. I might need to get a taller ladder if I keep collecting these :-).
Welcome Home,
Penny

Hi Penny
Your Christmas fairies look so cute climbing up the ladder on your tree. The Christmas festivities in Hendersonville sound so nice and old fashioned. I am sure something like that really helps you get into the spirit of Christmas.

Hi Penny,

What a darling idea to create a ladder for your Fairy collection - that is about as cute as you can get.

Hendersonville must be a very special place to be during the Christmas holidays.
Have fun baking and decorating for the holidays.

Oh they are so cute! I love how they hang on to the rungs. If we didn't have live little Christmas fairies in the forms of cats, I'd like having a ladder like this too... and a Christmas tree for that matter. ;)

Hi Penny! Thanks so much for your sweet comments!! the Cream paint is Benjamin Moore Linen white and the wax I love is by white diamond, and the can says: Butchers Wax, its a clear paste wax and it gives it a protective finish with a vintage luster, its good stuff :)

Oh my , I will have to check in after Xmas because I know that basket would look fabulous too! I have your other one on my fireplace hearth and its stunning!

Hi Penny! It has been a while since I stopped by for a visit. Your home is beautiful; try to stay warm up there in the mountains! Here in the foothills of NC we are still waiting to see some snow, even though it feels like it could any minute.

Please stop by and visit my Christmas Open House, and have a wonderful Christmas.

If you'd put them in the tree they would've been too hard to see. Love the ladder, it really showcases them. Mimi

That is such a clever way to display your collection. You are definately going to need a bigger ladder as I expect you'll want more of these delightful fellows.
